Veterinary Medicine (for small and large animals).
Approved by ISCO3 on April 18, 2025.
It was officially presented and launched by ISCO3 (International Scientific Committee of Ozone Therapy) at the 4th International Congress at the Illustrious Official College of Physicians of Madrid (ICOMEM) on June 5, 2025.
This 4th edition compiles scientific research from around the world, the result of years of experience and clinical practice.
Ozone therapists from various countries contributed to this edition, fostering a global dialogue to improve clinical outcomes and scientific standards.
The Declaration serves as a reference and guide for healthcare professionals.
The application of its recommendations depends on the clinical judgment of each therapist.
Importance and evolution of the Declaration
The Madrid Declaration on Ozone Therapy is the only truly global reference document existing in ozone therapy.
With each new edition, the Declaration expands in scientific topics and content, bibliographic references, and page count. It is also updated to reflect the very important scientific advances that ozone therapy has made in recent years.
It is a living document, now 15 years old, and is updated by ISCO3 every five years (2010, 2015, 2020, 2015).
1st edition (2010): 19 pages
2nd edition (2015): 50 pages
3rd edition (2020): 106 pages
4th edition (2025): 189 pages
The fully updated 4th edition includes the addenda for Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine (this one includes “small animals” and, for the first time, “large animals”).
Publication of the Declaration in Other Languages
As with previous editions, the Declaration will be published in a significant number of languages.
The online editions in English and Spanish will be released in August 2025; translations into French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Ukrainian will follow later. Other languages will continue later.
Its very high number of translations into different languages makes it a unique reference document for the scientific practice of ozone therapy worldwide.
