“Nanobubbling” enters the first Spanish public hospital

For the first time, a Spanish public hospital hosted a conference on the latest major research and scientific advance in ozone therapy: “nanobubbling.”

Dr. Adriana Schwartz, president of AEPROMO and ISCO3, delivered a keynote address, followed by a demonstration, on March 23, 2026.

“It’s something I’ve always dreamed of,” said Dr. Schwartz, “seeing O3SS (ozonized saline solution) in public healthcare.”

Dr. Adriana Schwartz, president of AEPROMO and ISCO3, delivered a keynote address (March 23, 2026) to physicians in the Pain Unit of La Princesa public hospital in Madrid.

The conference, titled “The Nanobubbling Paradigm in Ozone Therapy,” was followed by a demonstration and a lively question-and-answer session.

This is the first time a public hospital has hosted a conference specifically on the latest major research and scientific breakthrough in ozone therapy: “nanobubbling.”

Dr. Schwartz summarized her excitement with these words: “It’s something I always dreamed of, seeing O3SS (ozonized saline solution) in public healthcare. I just saw it. I have the great privilege of seeing and enjoying in my lifetime what my beloved teacher and mentor, the Italian professor Dr. Velio Bocci, did not get to see. This is dedicated to him.”

Dr. Bocci is the “Pioneer of the Modern Ozone Therapy.” https://isco3.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Bocci-Biograf%C3%ADa-ingl%C3%A9s-ISCO3.pdf

The private La Zarzuela University Hospital, owned by a health insurance company, has a pain management unit that is incorporating O3SS. Ozone therapy is practiced in many private hospitals in Spain.

It should be noted that until 2021, 23 Spanish public hospitals used ozone therapy in their pain management units. https://aepromo.org/en/more-spanish-public-hospitals-use-ozone-therapy/

It is estimated that this number has now increased to 26 public hospitals.
