- The award was presented during the 3rd “Science Revives” Congress in Valencia (October 16–17, 2026).
- This distinction was conferred upon Dr. Adriana Schwartz “in recognition of her outstanding professional career… her track record in contributing new protocols combined with ozone therapy serves as an example and an inspiration for new generations of physicians.”
- The award stands as “a symbol of prestige and a catalyst for innovation and progress in healthcare on a global scale.”
- Schwartz participated in the congress by delivering the presentation “The Nanobubbling Paradigm in Ozone Therapy” and by leading several intensive “Ozone Therapy Workshops.”
- The award consists of a bust of Metrodora (c. 200–400 AD)—a Greek physician and the author of the oldest known medical text written by a woman.
During the moving awards ceremony—alongside six other honored physicians—Dr. Adriana Schwartz received the “Innovation and Medical Skills Award 2026,” represented by a bust of the Greek physician Metrodora, accompanied by a formal diploma of recognition.
At the 3rd “Science Revives” Congress in Valencia (October 16–17, 2026), Dr. Adriana Schwartz delivered a presentation titled “The Nanobubbling Paradigm in Ozone Therapy.” Furthermore, she served as the sole professors for several intensive “Ozone Therapy Workshops.”
Significance of the Award Bestowed Upon Dr. Adriana Schwartz
The award, most deservedly granted to Dr. Schwartz for “her outstanding professional career” and her “contribution of new protocols combined with ozone therapy, serves as an example and an inspiration for new generations of physicians.” Through Dr. Schwartz, this recognition extends to the scientific validity of medical ozone therapy.
This award serves as further evidence of the progress ozone therapy has achieved in recent years, despite the immense difficulties and obstacles it has had to face.
The OMC labeled ozone therapy a “pseudotherapy” without providing any scientific basis.
Among these obstacles is the OMC (Collegiate Medical Organization, similar to the Federation of States Medical Boards of the USA), which, in 2017, unilaterally—and without ever consulting ozone therapy associations—labeled ozone therapy as “pseudoscience” and a “pseudotherapy.” https://www.cgcom.es/observatorios/oppiss
Of the four bibliographic references supposedly supporting this unilateral decision, one dates from 2010, two from 2011, and one from 2016. Whether deliberately or out of ignorance, the OMC has disregarded significant research conducted since 2010—research that has deepened our understanding of the therapy and demonstrated how, when applied correctly, it truly benefits patients.
Scientific research on ozone therapy
Since 2011, AEPROMO’s bilingual, online scientific journal, “Ozone Therapy Global Journal”, has published 248 scientific articles, each assigned a DOI.

The “Madrid Declaration on Ozone Therapy”—updated and expanded every five years by ISCO3 (2010, 2015, 2020, 2025)—is available in multiple languages. This Declaration has become the only global reference document for ozone therapy.

ISCO3 has published nearly 60 scientific articles on the subject https://isco3.org/officialdocs/
and maintains the world’s only specialized library on ozone therapy, keeping it up to date. https://isco3.org/library/
In the PubMed database (as of March 4, 2025), there are 4,919 articles published on “Ozone Therapy,” including 391 clinical trials, 262 randomized controlled trials, 103 systematic reviews, and 57 meta-analyses. Furthermore, 152 studies on “Ozone Therapy” are registered on ClinicalTrials.gov (a database of clinical studies maintained by the U.S. National Institutes of Health).

Dr. Adriana Schwartz has authored two books specializing in ozone therapy: “Manual of Clinical Ozone Therapy” (published in Spanish in 2017 and in English in 2020) https://formacionmedizeus.com/en/product/clinical-ozone-therapy-manual-digital-version/
and “Guide for the Medical Use of Ozone” (2011, only in Spanish). https://formacionmedizeus.com/.
Additionally, she has published over 20 scientific articles on ozone therapy.
Spanish Official Colleges of Physicians (similar to a State Medical Board of the USA) oppose the OMC’s unilateral decision
Two Spanish Official Colleges of Physicians have taken a stance against the unilateral classification of ozone therapy as a “pseudotherapy” by the Spanish organization OMC (Collegiate Medical Organization, similar to the Federation of States Medical Boards of the USA).
Madrid Official College of Physicians stated that there is, in fact, “sufficient scientific evidence to suggest that ozone therapy can be used as a complementary treatment for conditions such as cancer, among other pathologies.”

Alicante Official College of Physicians, despite the OMC’s pronouncement, determined that it cannot be claimed that the practice of ozone therapy “constitutes conduct warranting disciplinary action under professional ethical standards,” and concluded that “its practice does not merit ethical censure.”
Presence of ozone therapy in Spanish public hospitals
In 2018, the number of Spanish public hospitals using ozone therapy was 20.
By 2021, that number had risen to 23 hospitals. https://aepromo.org/en/more-spanish-public-hospitals-use-ozone-therapy/
Currently, according to data collected by AEPROMO, ozone therapy is being practiced in 36 Spanish public hospitals.
Award Inspired by the Physician Metrodora
The award consists of a bust of Metrodora (c. 200–400 AD), a “Greek physician and author of the oldest known medical text written by a woman.” Her 63-chapter work, “On the Diseases and Cures of Women”, was used by physicians for centuries thereafter. “It was widely referenced by other medical writers in ancient Greece and Rome, and was also translated and published in medieval Europe.”
