Burkina Fasio is among the ten poorest countries in the world, according to the UNDP (United Nations Development Program) annual report on the Human Development Index, which measures life expectancy at birth, the literacy rate and the GDP per capita.

In this country, one of the poorest in the world, with very precarious health services, and with 10 physicians per 100,000 people, ozone therapy has also arrived from the hand of an Italian NGO.

The Italian company Deva Med, Sedecal’s ozone equipment distributor, donated an ozonette to the NGO “Nasara per il Burkina” made up of Italian volunteers (https://www.nasaraonlus.org/) to be used in the African country Burkina Faso .

Along with other medical supplies, the NGO put into operation the ozonette in the “Slum” center that has “Nasara per il Burkina” in Ouagadougou, capital of Burkina Faso.

The professionals working at the center are using ozonette primarily for the treatment of ulcers and wounds. Their reference document for the application of ozone therapy is the French edition of the “Madrid Declaration on Ozone Therapy”, ISCO3, 3rd ed., 2021. https://isco3.org/madrid-declaration-on-ozone-therapy-3rd-edition-isco3/
